Amy Meyers-Stein is the Lead Occupational Therapist and Clinic Director at Esperanza. Amy received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from College Misericordia in May of 1998. Since then she has been working with children that have suffered traumatic brain injury, tumor resection, stroke and developmental disabilities. Amy has experience working in home-care, outpatient and school based programs. She comes to Esperanza with 10 years of experience in pediatrics and extensive continuing education. Promoting and gaining independence at home and in the community is Amy’s goal for all children. Using a combination of play, functional activities, yoga and therapeutic activities Amy works closely with both children and their families to meet their goals. When not working with children at the clinic Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the beach, walking or hiking in WA parks, camping and traveling to tropical places.
